Fun with Cousins!

Lexy and Delaney's cousins came a spent the night so Lance could help nanna and pawpaw clean up debris from the tornado.  They had so much fun playing together.  Enjoy the pics.

Little Climber

Aunt "Kella" and Uncle Gregg were at our house and Delaney was at the bottom of the stairs.  Kelley was like, "Julie, Oh no!"  I said, she can't climb the stairs yet.  But, look at her go....she sure did!  Of course there were 4 of us standing with our arms wide open to get her as soon as I snapped the pic.  Too Cute!

Wow!  It's been a while since I have blogged.  I wanted to post some new pics.  The ones at the top are of the girls dressed alike.  I love dressing them alike while I can.  It's fun!  And, of course, I snapped a couple of pictures when Lexy wrote her name both ways...Lexy, and Alexa.  I love how she makes her e's.  They look like 6's.  She can also draw her shapes really well.  The kinderteacher in me loves it. 

 

I was off Wednesday to keep the girls and it was so beautiful outside.  When Delaney took a nap, Lex and I went out to enjoy the sunshine!  We had so much fun!  And, of course, she had to do some poses for the camera! 

Easter 2010

Baby says "Baby"

Delaney said another word on Easter Sunday (4-5-10)...baby.  Now, when she sees a baby doll she grabs it and says baby or "bebe" in her language over and over.  It is the cutest thing.  She is so on the go now too.  She is everywhere.  She follows us around like a little puppy dog.  Cute!

I am posting pictures of Easter Sunday Morning when the Easter Bunny came.  Check out Lexy's snowman pj's...haha.  I am also posting pics from at church when no one would cooperate for a pic except Anna and...egg hunts...which means sugar, candy, and more sugar...oh my!  I remember egg hunts at my Maw-Maw's as a little girl.  They were so much fun.  Lexy had tons of fun hunting eggs with her cousins on both sides.  She even found eggs with money in it to feed her piggy!  Yea!  Enjoy!

Friday Night with Nothing To Do...

So, Richey has a ball game (what's new?) and the girls and I were starvin' so we trucked our way to Domino's because Lexy wanted pizza.  On the way she says, "I want Pizza Hunt, Mommy".  I tell her I ordered from Domino's.  So, when we pull in she's like, "Oh, so this is Pizzado's!  Not Pizza HuNt."  (emphasizing the N)  So, funny,that girl...to hear her talk.

On the way home, we ditch the radio and decide to retell the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears together.  She is poppa bear and I am momma and baby bear, plus the narrator.  I was amazed at the details that girl remembered from the James Marshall version.  Like when Goldilocks doesn't mind her mommy and she ignores all the signs that tell her not to go into the forest...Lexy remembered what every sign said except for I got her started...she remembered...very risky, not a good idea, turn back, danger!  As I got to the part where the three bears were going for a ride she mentions "on their rusty old bicycle" exactly the words from the book.  She also remembered that when Goldilocks sat in baby bear's chair she "broke it to smithereens!" (timberines in Lexy language).  I called it "bits" and she was quick to remind me of the real words.  Anyway, I thought I'd share our drive to town and back.  It's always fun with Lexy...she's a treat!  So, is my silent one!  Peace!

A Sad Dylan (aka Daffodil)

As soon as I walked in the door this afternoon to pick up the girls, Lexy greeted me with an outstretched arm full of daffodils!  What a nice surprise for a mommy on what was a long Monday.  Except I have to give one to daddy.  Anyway, on our way home Lex keeps saying, "Mommy, it's sad, it's so sad.  Look mommy, it's sad."  I was like okay, and kept on driving.  Then, I actually look behind me and she was holding the daffodils out, sure enough, one had broken and it was drooping down.  Lex says, "See, I told you mommy, it's sad."  Then, later, 3 of them had broken somehow (wonder how that happened?) and I heard her say, "Now, there are 3 sad dylan's...that was her interpretation of "daffodil".  How cute.  I tell her she is crackin' me up today and she says...yep momma, I sure am!

Mama...Finally!

Delaney finally said momma for the first time on March 26th.  Yea!  How exciting.  She said dada and momma within 1 day of each other.  With Lexy, I had to wait an entire month for her to say momma.  Delaney is just learning new things every day.  She's starting to "liven up" I guess you could say. 

We had Delaney's first Easter pictures made and Lexy's 4th yesterday with Heather.  I think they are going to be so great.  She had baby chicks.  Delaney squeezed them about to death and Lexy didn't care for them scratching her.  But, I can't wait to see how they turned out!

On another note, we will be carrying Delaney to the doctor this afternoon.  This will be the first time she will be going to the doctor for a sick visit.  We've been lucky that she has been so healthy her first 8 1/2 months.  Hopefully this is just sinuses and nothing more than that.

Daddy's Girl

Delaney finally said her first official word...can you guess..."da da"! I should have known. Lexy said "da da" first too. I guess little girls are "daddy's girls"...at least mine are. How precious though to hear your sweet baby say something. Now, if she can just get momma out. Did I mention her first tooth has come through as well? On the bottom, a little glimpse of white is showing. I guess that was that week of sleeplessness (is that a word).  Delaney is such the best sleeper, well, that was until the week of spring break.  But, she's back to normal...sleeping away...in her own crib now.  My, my, how time flies. 

Lexy is obsessed with playing on the "puter" (computer).  She asks everyday if she can play on her game...starfall.com.  She loves it, and it's funny because the sound on our computer doesn't work and  she still loves it even though she can't hear any of the words or sounds.  She especially loves to recycle on it.  As I am typing this she is begging, "When are you going to let me play on my stuff?  When, momma?  When?"  Enjoy the pics!
